Cleaning Newspaper Feed Rollers

If the paper feed roller is dirty or paper powder is attached to information technology, paper may non be fed properly. In this case, clean the paper feed roller.

Yous need to prepare: a canvass of A4 or Alphabetic character-sized apparently paper or cleaning sheet available on the market

1. Bank check that printer is turned on.

2. Remove whatever newspaper from the rear tray.

3. Clean the paper feed rollers without paper.

   1. Press the Setup button until 7 appears on the LCD.

   2. Press the Black button or the Color push.

      The newspaper feed roller will rotate as it is cleaned without paper.

4. Clean the paper feed rollers with paper.

   1. Brand sure that the paper feed rollers have stopped rotating, load a canvas of A4 or Letter-sized obviously paper or cleaning sheet bachelor on the market place on the rear tray.

      • Loading Obviously Paper / Photo Paper

   2. Press the Black button or the Color button.

      The printer starts cleaning. The cleaning will be consummate when the newspaper is ejected.

5. Press the Stop button.

If the trouble is not resolved after cleaning the paper feed rollers on the rear tray, turn off the power, unplug the power cord, then wipe the paper feed rollers (B) located within the rear tray with a moistened cotton swab or the like while rotating the white plastic part (A) manually. Perform this operation ii or more than times. Do non touch the rollers (B) with your fingers.

Afterward cleaning the paper feed rollers, turn on the power, then clean the paper feed rollers again.

If the problem is not resolved later on cleaning the paper feed roller, contact your nearest Canon service center to asking a repair.
